Beginner Startup Course - First Steps
Launching a startup requires a systematic approach: from hypothesis validation to first sales. Without a structured plan, most projects run into a lack of resources, incorrect market sizing, and wasted time. This course will help you master the core stages of building a product and avoid common mistakes at launch.
The program covers key topics: idea formulation using Lean Canvas, market analysis through customer interviews and competitive analysis, hypothesis testing with MVP (minimum viable product) and A/B testing. You will learn how to build a product roadmap, define team roles using a RACI-matrix, and cover the basics of financial planning (unit economics, break-even point). You will also prepare for your first sales: sales funnel and customer communication scripts. Risk management methods are included (Ishikawa diagram), along with how to present your project to investors.
The course methodology is based on practical case studies and templates: you will work with real startup examples, fill in Lean Canvas and Customer Journey Map templates. Special attention is paid to typical mistakes: overestimating an idea, insufficient demand validation, and ignoring competitors. You will learn to distinguish hypotheses from facts and make decisions based on data.
The course is designed for beginner entrepreneurs planning to launch their first startup; product specialists (product manager) who want to systematize their knowledge; students of technical and business fields considering careers in startups; and employees of companies who want to develop internal innovations (intrapreneurship).
By the end of the course, you will have a structured understanding of the startup lifecycle: from idea to first sales. You will master Lean Canvas, Customer Development, and MVP tools, be able to independently formulate and test hypotheses, assess market potential, create a basic financial plan, and pitch your project. You will understand how to allocate resources and roles in a team, and how to manage early risks.
