ADHD planning: time blocks and energy management
Planning your day with ADHD requires accounting for natural fluctuations in energy and attention. Traditional time management methods often prove ineffective because they do not consider the specifics of neurodiversity. This course offers a systematic approach to organizing time based on the principles of flexible time blocking and managing energy resources. You will learn how to build a schedule that works with your individual rhythms rather than against them.
The course program covers several key topics. You will master flexible time blocking techniques adapted for nonlinear attention: breaking the day into blocks with different levels of focus, using “anchors” to stabilize your schedule, and methods for switching between productivity and rest modes. Planning methods for short work cycles (e.g., a modified Pomodoro) are discussed in detail, along with review and schedule adjustment practices to improve resilience. Special attention is given to setting up digital calendars and reminder tools to minimize cognitive load.
The course methodology follows the principle “from simple to complex”: you start with basic techniques for structuring the day and gradually move to more fine-grained adjustments. Typical mistakes are covered—such as trying to reschedule the entire day at once or ignoring signs of fatigue. You will learn how to avoid overload and burnout by implementing the system gradually. Practical exercises will help you adapt the tools to your personal working style.
The course is intended for adults with a diagnosed ADHD who struggle with time organization; for specialists (coaches, psychologists, doctors) working with ADHD clients; for students and knowledge workers whose productivity suffers due to irregular attention; and for parents of children with ADHD who want to better understand and support their loved ones.
By the end of the course, you will master a set of specific planning techniques: flexible time blocking, working with anchors, short cycles, and schedule review. You will understand how to adapt these tools to your energy patterns and be able to build your own planning system. You will learn to interpret signals from your body and adjust your schedule without guilt. The course provides a practical framework for daily planning that does not require strict discipline.
